This page explains how to permanently delete the account you created in Circle VPN, and what happens to the data stored with it. You do not need to be signed in on this website to make the request.
Deleting the account does not cancel a subscription. An App Store subscription must be cancelled in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. A Google Play subscription must be cancelled in the Play Store, under Payments and subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends if you do not want the next charge.
Delete the account in the app
On iOS, Android, and Mac:
- Open Circle VPN and sign in.
- Open the account screen.
- Choose Delete Account.
- Confirm, then enter your password.
The app deletes the account on Circle’s servers and clears the account data stored on that device. This cannot be undone.
Delete the account by email
Use this if you use Windows, or if you cannot open the app.
- Email support@circlevpn.com from the email address on the account.
- Use the subject Delete my Circle VPN account.
- Include the account email in the message.
We delete the account after we confirm that the request came from the account email. We aim to complete a verified request within 30 days.
Data that is deleted
When the account is deleted, Circle deletes the personal data stored with that account:
- the account record, including email address, password hash, account ID, device list, country and language stored on the account, and plan status;
- traffic totals stored with the account;
- purchase records Circle stores for that account, including the email and the transaction reference;
- share and reward records tied to the account.
Data that may be kept
- Store records. Apple and Google keep their own purchase and subscription records under their policies. Circle cannot delete those records. The subscription continues to renew until you cancel it in the store.
- Security log. A log that the account was deleted may be kept so we can confirm the request and prevent abuse. It is not sold and it is not shared with third parties. It is not used to restore the account.
- Connection diagnostics that are not needed to identify a living account are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure the service. They do not include the websites you visited or the contents of your traffic, and they are not sold or shared.
